Hi, I just installed your keyb and learning it. Trying to get zccustomed to Y and Z switch. But I think placing ź under the z letter and ż under z with swipe is wrong. As you can read here: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfabet_polski#Cz.C4.99sto.C5.9B.C4.87_wyst.C4.99powania_liter
ż is ten times more frequent than ź. So that it should be first.
Another way would be to have ź under x, as it is for Polish Programmers keyboard layout.
Cheers!
Michał
Hi Filip
The reason why we don't use normal QWERTY (which is mostly used all over the world yet) that it's just not optimized for mobile. It has been designed more than 140 years ago for typewriters so they don't get stuck. That's why we think our layout is better for one or two finger typing on touch devices. For example the keys are larger and easier to hit on a small screen.
It needs about 1-2 weeks to get used to it and after 1-2 weeks more you're faster than before. If you think back: also in 90s we were able to use a completely different mobile layout (abc) quite fast.
I hope you give it a chance. I bet you won't regret it. :)
Best & thanks for your support!
Janis
Ahh right. This is the trick ;) fine. Lets try it then.
Hi Michal
Thanks a lot for your helpful feedback! :)
Thanks for your support! :)

Can you eleborate that? Why is qwerty good for english but qwertz better for polish? The frequency of z & y which is very similar doesn't justify the layout switch?
Well, you're right. That's very confusing. :)
Google shows QWERTZ as well as QWERTY when searching for 'polish keyboard layout'. Of course we'll do some research but if someone can explain it that would be great. :)
Yes, I find Y and Z switch a little annoying. I've read your explanation in other topic, but I don't agree on it (I left response there)
I am testing now the Polish (QWERTZ) layout, after testing little bit English (QWERTY) + Polish as second, but I don't think its worth messing with Y and Z. My speed does not benefit - I don't feel it, and it adds little bit of learning curve. Give me a reason, because I don't get that QWERTZ for Polish right now :)
cheers,
Michał
There are two polish keyboard layouts: mostly used is Polish Pro (or Polish Programist) keyboard. It is QWERTY and accented letters accessible with alt+letter, like ą = alt+a. The ź letter (different than ż) is available as alt+x. That is why I suggest to have ź under x in our other discussion.
The other layout is Polish Typist keyboard (QWERTZ + acccented chars on punctuation keys). It was used on typewriters and nobody - I mean nobody - uses it. I work with computers since 8 bit era and never seen it in use :)
Have some reading here: http://www.polishforums.com/language/keyboard-best-27165/
We will fix the character allocation in the next update.
